My very first time trying Hojicha and this got me addicted!

We have been looking for a hojicha to rotate with our matchas. This is rlchocolatey and nutty and just great flavor. I drink it hot with oat milk and sometimes a bit of manauka honey! I love my mornings even more! Thank you for the quality and the reasonable price!

This hojicha tea has a particular mild and sweet, with a chocolaty taste. Was only trying to cut out coffee - but this cup of tea is so much more than a substitute… Really enjoyable - thank you 🙏

Love this tea anytime of day. I add hot steamed oat milk. Sometimes over ice. I take my time in making it. It blends so beautifully.

This was my first time trying hojicha and it was a great powder to start with. It had a good smooth and roasted flavor that I was looking for and pairs really well with flavored syrups let alone by itself.

Great quality, deeply roasted, caramel-like tase. I like the very thin grain texture. It is more roasted, less astringent-strong hojicha flavor than others I´ve tried. So it will depend on your preferences.

The powder of roasted green tea is something I've only recently heard of. I bought this to try it and I was surprised by the smoky flavor. It almost tastes like coffee. I made cookies with this hojicha powder too and they were good. It also makes nice lattes.

Tastes a bit more earthy than chocolatey (which another vendor's resembled) - which I assume is a more accurate taste of hochija when I get it unsweetened at coffeeshops. I saw the note prior about brewing temps leading to bitterness so trying to be more mindful of that. All in all, a great value for the size.

Recommended powder, takes just like freshly brewed hojicha leaves and much simpler without leftover leaves (that can be re-used 1-2 times). Flavor earthy and deliciously grasses. Slight caffeine amounts.

I feel like hojicha powder is so hard to find, but this one is perfect for all of your baking and latte needs! If you have any doubts about purchasing, take this review as your green light to buy it!

I love drinking this as an iced hojicha latte. Super smooth, roasty, and creamy. My go to relaxing drink, I always keep some on hand.

Got the Uji Matcha for my girlfriend and she LOVES it. Honestly not sure what "good quality" matcha really taste like, but you can definitely taste the difference compared to others. I also got the Hojicha and I love it! It's kind of hard to find good powder hojicha and not many tea/boba shops have it so I'm glad I got some. Although the uji matcha is kind of expensive for the amount, I'm sure the regular matcha is just as good.
We usually make it with some oat milk and make out own sweet foam on top. *chefs kiss*

I tried this with just hot water and it is too pungent for me. With some honey, cinnamon and almond milk it is okay.

Having a cup of this magnificent organic Hojicha tea before heading off to work is one that I look forward to every single morning simply for its calming, sensorial experience. It has subtle little lovely hints of cocoa, coffee, and toasted matcha which I love. This tea is velvety smooth to taste as well. The ritual of making this tea using the Nara Takayama chasen (AKA "The Rolls Royce of Chasens") is just delightful. I purchased this chasen and my first packet of this Hojicha powder from Amazon and fell in love with my first sip! I then went on to purchase five packets directly from Ocha & Co. Shipping was prompt, the packaging is understated yet pretty, and the items were packed super professionally. I am already looking forward to ordering more Hojicha powder from Ocha & Co, for my hubby, a big time ceremonial matcha tea lover, seems to want a cup of this tea every day as well. After trying this hojicha powder, I became a hojicha latte regular! I have one everyday. It's so earthy and has a nice tone.

Matcha is my favorite tea but after discovering this hojicha powder it's a close second!! It has an amazing roasted flavor, I usually make an iced latte version in the afternoons when I need a little pick me up. I highly recommend!

The full bodied taste fills the coffee desire but it has less caffeine that doesn’t give me the speediness, crash and grumpy mood. I’m so happy to have found this tea.
