Afternoon Tea Time

I always look forward to my afternoon or early evening tea ritual. The Organic Hojicha is so mellow and earthy and flavorful. I love the beautiful color and aroma. The amount of caffeine is minimal, so I don't have to worry about not being able to fall asleep when it's time for bed. I've also made cold brew ice tea with it. I have a glass thermos with a strainer insert, and I put the tea in the strainer and fill it with cold water and leave it in the refrigerator overnight. It's perfect for lunch the next day.

Delightful tea for everyday

This Hojicha loose leaf tea truly is a delightful, lightly sweet tea. I either brew for 2 minutes at a temperature of 180°F for a sweeter flavor or follow the instructions for a roasted warming cup, and I appreciate the complexity and variation I can bring ou with each new steep. It's a beautiful daily addition to my ritual of presence, and the highest quality tea I have tasted.

the tea arrived, but extremely hard packed... it is so packed and hard it is like a brick. Not even sure how I'm going to open them.

Hojicha Perfection

When my kid left for college, they left behind an opened bag of Ocha & Co. Organic Japanese Hojicha Green Tea that had been gifted to them by some friends from Japan. I ran out of my usual herbal tea and thought I'd try the Ocha & Co green tea. I couldn't believe how delicious it was! Very delicate and subtle flavor and no matter how long I steep it, it never tastes over-brewed or bitter like other teas. It's green tea perfection. I'm giving a bag away to my best friend and ordering another bag for myself right now. This is my go-to tea from here on out that I will *always* have on hand. Now I drink it daily and always have something special to serve to guests. Thank you!
