European orders (EEA & UK):
The seller and contracting party is Ocha & Co. Green Tea Limited (Ireland), which handles invoicing, customer service, and statutory consumer rights for these orders.

Non-European orders (all other countries):
The seller and contracting party is Ocha & Co. K.K. (Japan).

Operationally, warehousing and fulfillment may occur from Japan for both European and non-European orders.

SECTION 1 – ONLINE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your country or region, or that you have given consent for any minor dependents to use this site under your supervision.

SECTION 2 – GENERAL CONDITIONS

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time. You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Service, or access to the Service, without express written permission from us.

Your content (not including credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve transmissions over various networks and technical adaptations. Payment information is always encrypted during transfer.

SECTION 3 – ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION

We do our best to ensure the information on this site is accurate, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete or up to date. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk. We reserve the right to modify contents at any time.

SECTION 4 – MODIFICATIONS TO THE SERVICE AND PRICES

Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the Service without notice.

Prices are displayed in EUR, GBP, USD, or other currencies depending on your region. Taxes:

European orders: Prices include VAT where applicable and are invoiced by Ocha & Co. Green Tea Limited (Ireland).
Non-European orders: Local import duties, customs fees, or taxes may apply on import; these are the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated at checkout.

Customs, Import Duties & Clearance

For international shipments, customers are responsible for any applicable import duties, customs fees, taxes, or clearance charges imposed by the destination country.

Ocha & Co. is not responsible for delays, refusals, seizures, or returns caused by customs authorities or by the customer’s failure to pay required import charges. Where shipments are returned, abandoned, or destroyed due to unpaid customs fees or refusal of delivery, the order may be non-refundable, or any recoverable refund may be reduced by associated costs.

SECTION 5 – RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY

Due to food safety regulations, tea and matcha products cannot be returned once opened.

Unopened, unused non-food items may be returned within 30 days of receipt, in their original packaging and condition, with proof of purchase.

How to start a return

Please contact info@ochaandco.com before returning any item. We will confirm eligibility and provide return instructions, including the correct return address for EU vs non-EU customers.

Missing or Damaged Items

We take great care in packaging all orders. If an item is missing or arrives damaged:

Contact us within 10 days of delivery
Provide photographs of the shipping box, label (showing tracking number), contents, and any damage
Email info@ochaandco.com with your order number and photos

Once verified, refunds or replacements are processed promptly. Refunds are typically issued within 7 days to the original payment method.

Shipping Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

Ocha & Co. is not liable for delayed, lost, or undeliverable shipments resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or invalid address information provided by the customer. Any additional shipping, reshipment, or handling costs incurred due to address errors may be charged to the customer.

Subscriptions

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to recurring billing at your chosen interval. You can pause, skip, or cancel at any time through your customer account or by contacting info@ochaandco.com.

SECTION 6 – PRODUCT INFORMATION AND HEALTH DISCLAIMER

All information provided about our teas is for general educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.

Although Ocha & Co. sources from certified producers, we do not guarantee that our teas are free from all allergens or traces of other products due to shared production environments. Customers with allergies or sensitivities should always read labels and consult a healthcare professional before consumption.

This website may contain links to third-party websites. We do not control or endorse their content and are not responsible for any damages or issues arising from their use. Please review the third party’s terms before engaging with them.

Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European customers and Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) for non-European customers, together with other applicable laws.

Payment information is encrypted and never stored on our servers.

You are prohibited from using the site or its content:

(b) to violate international or local laws;
(c) to infringe intellectual property rights;

European orders (EEA & UK): These Terms and any disputes or claims relating to an EU/UK order are governed by the laws of Ireland. You agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. EU consumers may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform:

Non-European orders: These Terms and any disputes or claims relating to non-European orders are governed by the laws of Japan, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
