HOW TO MAKE MATCHA THE TRADITIONAL JAPANESE WAY

Why not make Japanese Matcha the traditional way using a Chasen (whisk) and Chashaku (scoop) and drink it the way it is enjoyed in Japan. Follow the instructions in the illustration using only hot water to make Ushicha (light matcha drink); add extra powder and make Koicha (thicker matcha drink) used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Slow down and savour the intense flavours and aroma of these drinks and focus on the day ahead. Sipping from a Chawan (Japanese matcha bowl) will heighten the experience.
