Fukamushi Means 'Deep Steamed' in Japanese. The steaming process which is twice as long as usual, breaks down the structure of the leaf and releases valuable healthy nutrients and bioactives such as beta-carotene and Vitamin E into the brew. Deep intense green colour, fuller rounded flavour with distinctive fine-floating tea particles. Rich and mild. Increasing popularity in Japan due to its mild taste and extra health benefits. Growing in the sun increases the amount of the antioxidant Catechins (EGCG) and Vitamins.
CAN BE BREWED COLD
Please Note. The teas has been steamed for a longer period which results in the tea having smaller leaf particles compared to regular Sencha.
taste the quality - I usually brew one hot cup for about 40 seconds, then with those same leaves do a glass of cold brew. Both ways give me maximum deliciousness, which I like.
Ive tried alot of brands out there. I always come back to Ocha & Co
We've been purchasing the same tea from Ocha & Co. for years now, and customer service and product quality remain steadfastly, consistently high, with no excessive sales emails. Glad we found you.
Ocha & Co.’s Japanese Fukamushi Deep-Steamed Sencha Green Tea, is an excellent, green Sencha, with a wonderful authentic flavor. It’s always freshly harvested & shipped in sealed pouches for assured freshness. Ocha & Co. can’t be beat for customer service, so a win-win on all counts!
This tea has become one of my favorites! It is also a tea my husband enjoys, which is surprising since he is a coffee snob. Steeping for the full time makes for a nice cup.
