Fukamushi Means 'Deep Steamed' in Japanese. The steaming process which is twice as long as usual, breaks down the structure of the leaf and releases valuable healthy nutrients and bioactives such as beta-carotene and Vitamin E into the brew. Deep intense green colour, fuller rounded flavour with distinctive fine-floating tea particles. Rich and mild. Increasing popularity in Japan due to its mild taste and extra health benefits. Growing in the sun increases the amount of the antioxidant Catechins (EGCG) and Vitamins.
CAN BE BREWED COLD
Please Note. The teas has been steamed for a longer period which results in the tea having smaller leaf particles compared to regular Sencha.
I've shopped around and I feel like this company offers a very fresh and quality product. I'm going to get to know more about tea through their wide selection and simple growing and prodtion methods. I'm also a fan of how the packaging comes vacuum sealed.
Before I found Ocha & Co, I bought some green tea from a very high-end company here in the US. It was Japanese bulk sencha, but when I opened the package, I could smell nothing at all. In contrast, when I opened the tea from Ocha & Co, the smell was heavenly, just like fresh green tea should smell. This is the best tea I've had since living in Japan. Every morning when I make my tea, I appreciate the fragrance before brewing, then get to taste it as I drink. The price is quite reasonable, and the free shipping a decided plus. Keep up the good work!!!!
Wonderful Teas and I was amazed how fast the shipping was
