Ocha & Co. Organic Japanese Kukicha Green Tea

 ORGANIC KUKICHA GREEN TEA

Kukicha is quite different from other green teas as it is made from the stem and stalks of the tea plant and not the leaves. It has a nice nutty flavour with hints of citrus and sweet umami and exquisite aroma. Lower caffeine content. Popular in the macrobiotic diet.

    Luv, Luv this tea

Have ordered this Organic Kukicha several times from Ocha Co. Tea consistently good. Open up a vacuum sealed package for first time -- whiff of heaven! Best tasting Kukicha I've had. Perfect "roasty" flavor. Guzzled it as iced tea this summer -- put 1 HEAPING tablespoon in 2 cups water, stick in refrigerator for 8 hours, strain leaves and indulge. Second infusion just as wonderful. Third infusion still good. Plus, no problems going to sleep drinking it hot or cold in the evenings.

    A great late day tea

This is a very tasty and easy drinking tea. I enjoy it later in the day as I believe (although can't scientifically verify) it has a much lower caffeine content than my daily Sencha. A great flavor profile and great customer service at Ocha & Co. Exceptional value at this price point!

    tasty, not too much caffeine

Tasty, mellow, not too much caffeine, so I can drink before bed. Not super unique, but a good basic. I'll buy it again!

    Kukicha exceptional

This tea is really indescribable, the fragrance is like no other green tea I've ever had, if I could only smell this tea and not drink it, I would still buy it! However the flavor is also so savory, you can do 2 short infusions, or one long one, the tea does not get bitter in my opinion if you keep your temperatures on the lower side, I mix it with other teas, fantastic with white tea, but it also stands alone as a truly original flavor and aroma that has become a part of my regular tea stash.
